"Lost" recap

WTF?

I was wondering how it was that Kate would get off the island and be able to go back to the U.S. and not go to jail for her previous crimes. That was answered in tonight's episode.

But now they show us that Kate not only has a baby, but that it's Aaron. You know, Claire's son.

What?!

If Kate and the other members of the Oceanic Six get off the island relatively soon, how is it that Aaron is now two years old? In the early part of tonight's episode, he's clearly still an infant. I can't imagine that Kate can come back to the U.S. and live secretly for almost a year and a half before being discovered by the authorities.

This show loves to play tricks with time--you never know whether something is taking place in real time or island time or in the past or the future.

The more answers this show gives us, the more questions it raises.

Aaagh!

i thought it was her baby, but since he was blonde - he was sawyers so that is why jack wouldn't want to see him. the aaron thing is an interesting idea though and the kicker is that there is no real answer...geez! Lost!

Well when Jack was on the stand testifying he said the crash happened in 2004, well that baby would be four years old now. He didn't look four when she picked him up out of the crib. And then the lawyer said something about her son testifying, but at the age, what could he say??? Once again, I'm LOST!

I think you have to remember, though, their time isn't our time necessarily. I don't think it's 2008 in the future flashes.

I think it IS Claire's baby, and the reason Jack doesn't want to see it is because he found out that Claire is his half-sister, she died/was left on the island, and he's riddled with guilt about it because he couldn't save her. That's his thing - saving everyone.

Of course, now we have to wait and see HOW he finds out that Claire is his sister - it's got to happen at some point.

Good point Jill. I did not think about the time factor. I swear sometimes that show makes my brain hurt, but it keeps me coming back for more.
