I can't wait for the debate

Tina Fey hit it out of the park again last night with her spin on Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric. Tina's "Sarah" looks so much like the governor, it's hard to tell them apart.

Here's the link in case you missed it:

She nailed it

The season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" was awesome. They got Tina Fey to come back and do Sarah Palin. Only Tina could have pulled this off--they're almost twins!

The skit was hilarious. I don't know what was funnier--Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin or Amy Poehler doing an incredulous Hillary.

I'm definitely going to have to start recording SNL each week. I can't wait to see what they do next!

Boat ride

Later Sunday evening, we met up with friends Todd and Trisha and their kids. They live in a development near Dan's parents that has a lake.

This was the first time Brett and Casey had gotten a chance to ride in a tube being pulled by a boat. Brett loved it--Casey not so much.

Pool fun

On Sunday afternoon, we spent some time with Dan's extended family and also celebrated the boys' birthdays (again!)

Grandma Harla tried to find the boys a Star Wars cake for their birthday, but she couldn't find one. What she did manage to find was really cool: a video game cake.

High School reunion

This weekend, we went to Kansas City for Dan's 20th high school reunion.

Guess who this is?

On Friday night, everyone met at a local bar for a get-together, then on Saturday night, there was a more "formal" event at a hotel with a catered dinner.

I had a pretty good time, since he has stayed close with several of his high schools friends and I've gotten to know them and their wives.
