Tonight Dan and I watched "Desperate Housewives" (it was the last episode they filmed before the writer's strike, so we'll be waiting a while for a new one).
Anyway, for those of you who don't watch the show, a tornado hit the town the women live in. It basically destroyed the whole block they live on and we're waiting to see who survives.
What was hilarious to Dan and me was how they were preparing for the tornado as though it was a hurricane. Hours before the tornado struck, people were taping up their windows and gathering flashlights, batteries and bottled water for their shelters. A neighbor drove down the street and warned the ladies that they better get ready because a tornado struck another town in their state, so it might be heading their way.
In another scene, two men were fighting and a piece of a picket fence just happened to impale the villan just as he was about to kill the other man.
Cars were being thrown from the sky, yet the leaves remained on the trees.
Obviously, the writers don't come from the Midwest, because it seemed like they had no idea what happens during a tornado watch or warning.

Amen, sister. I thought the same things as I watched it last night.
I think Cherry and his writers were ready to strike and came up with something sooo stupid that maybe we would'nt care how long they were out. They sure had a lot of time to decide what to do in their tornado. Unlike real life. Good one Maria
