Valentine's class parties

This afternoon was filled with Valentine's parties in the boys' classes.

In Brett's class, the kids had made boxes to hold their Valentines that were simple machines. Brett's was very simple compared to what some of the other kids did.

This little girls made her box into a Humvee.
You put the Valentines in the sunroof.

This was a lion robot.
You put the cards in his mouth.

This was Brett's. We made a ramp on
the top of the box and the cards slid in.

During the party, the girls got to make charm bracelets and the boys made candy bracelets.

Each child also made a handprint keepsake to bring home. They used their handprints to make a heart.

Casey's class played candy heart bingo and did a wordsearch made up of the the names of all the kids in the class.

Of course, there was also lots of sweets.

Mmm. Cupcakes.

Going through the valentines--
the best part of the party.

Casey was thrilled to get this Ben 10
Alien Force valentine.

I don't know if this works on your screen or not, but if I scroll up and down fast over the cupcakes it appears they are moving vertically in the box.
